Symposia Guidelines
Symposia submission has closed
Format of the symposium:
The time limit of the symposium is 90 minutes;
- 60 minutes oral presentations (4 speakers x 15 minutes)
- 30 minutes discussion.
Format of the Symposium Submission
The symposium organiser should submit through the abstract submission process a 350 word abstract giving a brief description of the rationale and goal of the symposium along with details of the speakers and topics which will be presented (1 oral presentation per person).
We would encourage the symposium organiser to discuss their proposal with the conference organising team. Please contact Claire Fitzsimons (claire.fitzsimons@strath.ac.uk)
Each presenter must ensure a 350 word abstract of their presentation is submitted through the abstract submission process following the structure:
- Title
- Purpose
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
We would like to invite symposia on the following topics (when you submit your abstract you will be required to select one of these options):
- National or community approaches to physical activity promotion
- Promoting walking/practitioner experiences in promoting walking in Europe
- Environment and physical activity
- Evaluation, measurement and monitoring of physical activity
- Health effects of physical activity
- Other topic
All symposia presenters are required to register for the conference. The deadline for submission of symposia is Thursday 5 June at 5pm.
